When should I find a doula?

- 331 weeks is the latest we can match. Please allow 7–14 business days for our team to contact you.

You complete the secure intake through RXNT
Click the Get a Doula button at doulalab.org/find-a-doula to open our secure patient portal (RXNT). That's the hardest part. A coordinator is notified as soon as your intake is received.
A coordinator reaches out within 7–14 business days
Someone from our team will contact you by phone, text, or email — whichever you prefer — to introduce themselves and answer any early questions.
You have a consultation
We schedule a free consultation to learn more about you, your pregnancy, your goals, and what kind of support would serve your family best.
Coverage gets verified
If you have Medicaid or other insurance, our team works to verify your benefits and identify any grant or program funding that may apply to your care.
You sign a service agreement
Once everything is confirmed, we'll send a simple service agreement outlining your support plan, your doula match, and what's included.
You get portal access
You'll receive login credentials for The Doula Lab community portal — your home base for messaging your doula, accessing resources, and tracking your journey.
